VITRIO Card is out. You drop it on a page, fill in the fields, and the card is done β no code, no account, no monthly fee.
Contact β four main data plus four freely selectable extra rows, each with its own icon, opening and copying button. At the extra rows you can choose from fifteen types, and the row automatically gets the appropriate icon and behavior: the phone number calls, the address opens a map, the reservation starts in a new tab.
QR code β the whole business card or a link pointing to a page, size and pattern style selectable.
Link QR β second QR to a chosen address.
Bio β introduction, with the specified number of rows on the card, with full text on the panel.
Video β YouTube, Vimeo, iframe code or own file, with cover image.
Share β system-level sharing, e-mail, SMS, link copying.
Subscribe β newsletter form from your own service providerβs code.
Opening hours β with live clock.
Photo enlargement β the profile picture on its own panel, with caption.
Menu β the buttons over five automatically go here.
Nine panels slide over the card: Contact, Save card, QR, Link QR, Bio , Video, Share, Opening hours, Subscribe and Print. You switch on the ones you want and leave the rest off β skip the opening hours or the newsletter and they get no button at all. Nothing reloads and the visitor never leaves the page.
The parts I think are worth knowing about:
Save card hands over a real vCard with the photo embedded, not a link to a page. It lands in their contacts in one tap.
The QR generator is written into the Bric. No external service, no API call.
The opening hours run on a live clock: your own time zone, today marked, and a countdown to the next opening or closing.
Newsletter signup posts straight to your own provider. Tested with MailerLite, Brevo, Kit and Mailchimp.
It prints β the card alone, black on white, panels one under the other.
A field you leave empty never shows up either β no empty rows, no placeholder text.
The VITRIO Card has received several new useful features, as well as more beautiful, and bigger icons..
Whatβs new
Video panel β A new panel on the card. YouTube, Vimeo, a pasted iframe code, or a video file of your own. Cover image with a play button, autoplay, mute and its own label. With a cover in place the YouTube or Vimeo player is not loaded until someone presses play, so until then the page asks nothing of the provider. For example for video greetings, company introductions, etcβ¦
Choose what the QR code carries β Page link or Full contact. In Page link mode you set the Card link, the Card ID and Jump to card, so the code can open a particular card on the page rather than the top of it. The name of the page is enough in the Card link.
Test Host β For local testing: your own machineβs address, so the QR code can be read with a phone straight from the Blocs preview. Ignored on a live site.
Video in the saved card β The videoβs address goes into the saved contact.
Opening hours in the saved card β The weekβs opening hours travel into the saved contact as a note.
Ten social icons instead of five β Raise the More icons setting to add up to five more.
Protect contact data > The email address, phone number and postal address are stored encoded in the page source, so spam robots find nothing to harvest. On by default.
