One of my clients, whose website I maintain, has received the following notice from the web host: We update websites running on web hosting servers to use the PHP 8.2 version. What measures does this cause in making www pages? Now I am using Blocks App version 4.5.4.
So, is it the case that the Blocs App program itself does not use or need PHP?
Only for email forms.
If you are using PHP on your website, many web hosts allow you to set to an earlier version of PHP in the Cpanel (or equivalent). I’m able to choose from v4.4 up to 8.2 and currently their native version is 8.0.
Thanks for all the replies - I’m a bit wiser now. I will contact the webhost tomorrow Monday and discuss this PHP update with them.
