Hi, recently upgraded to Blocs 6.1.1 but still can’t upload files directly to Ionos. It works through Cyberduck and when I test connection in Blocs I can see the files I uploaded. Every time I try and Publish I get an error message…
“The remote base directory ( / ) does not exist. The path value you entered for this server may be incorrect.”
I saw another use had similar issue but it resolved with a restart. I am using Port 22 and all settings are correct and the same as when using Cyberduck.
Thanks for the replies but still not working. When I connect using Port 22 using SFTP I can test the connection and see the files in the folder I uploaded using Cyberduck. But cannot upload anything from Blocs - even though the connection seems to be OK.
Hi Norm,
I tried using FTP in Passive mode as in the troubleshooting section, without success.
Attached is a screen grab showing the connection is successful, if not the upload.
Hi, no firewall or anything I know of to stop uploading.
I just added a “Test” folder to the Ionos folder with Cyberduck and I can upload to that with Blocs. But because it is a subfolder the files are not updating the website.
That seems to work! Thanks.
Not sure why, but it is working. What was odd was that I could see the files in the root folder in Blocs, so the connection was good, but not upload to it.
Thanks again for the help.
Looking forward to doing more with Blocs - I have been using V3 for years but recently updated all of my Macs and can now use the latest version.
The provider should provide a FTP file for cyberduck for your account. When you log into your account look in the ftp settings there should be a link to generate the correct ftp connection settings for you to up load. You should also should be able to generate a personal ftp profile {different to the master ftp pass} this should also ease the connections problems.
I have the problem with the Strato provider right now, but not only with them. I’ve already tried to get help - nothing helps. The description corresponds exactly to the AntF, the error message is also correct. The test connection is there, I can see the folders and files on the server. But Blocs fails during the transfer. Cyberduck has no problems with this. This is of course incredibly annoying, but unfortunately the tips in the post didn’t help. It is definitely a bug in Blocs if the connection works, the target folder is opened, but the transfer does not take place. With every update I hope that the bug will be fixed…
