Publish only changes or publish everything - FTP vs. SFTP

Most of my publish FTP settings are using SFTP. I have a site on which I can only use “normal old FTP”.

When I make some changes to this site and go to publish, I do not see the options for “Full Site or Changes only”.

Does this have something to do with the fact that I am connecting to the server using normal FTP, and not SFTP?

If you are connecting to a server using SFTP you will also be able to select whether you would like to upload the entire site or just the changes.
