I’ve finally figured out how to incrementally publish ‘Changes Only’ at A2 Hosting with a shared hosting plan.
Firstly, using SFTP at A2 Hosting requires different inputs than publishing via FTP (for FTP - see my other post ‘Publishing to A2Hosting’, which only allows republishing the whole site).
Name: whatever you want to call this (identified under ‘Select Server’ under ‘Publish Site’)
Address: the gibberish address A2 Hosting provides (a unique combination of letters, numbers and dashes before .a2hosting.com that act as your hostname in lieu of your actual primary domain - e.g. av4-gp8-nls1.a2hosting.com
Username: your cpanel username
Password: your cpanel password
Protocol: SFTP
Path: your website folder (under primary domain or server root - the aforementioned gibberish address), which can conveniently be located by clicking on the folder icon beside the path field.
Port: 7822
