Site tree map generator

I’d like to generate a tree map for a site that I intend to Crete in Blocs. I thought that having a visual representation of the page structure would be useful for dealing with the ‘client’.

I remember a piece of software I used in the past had this, it might have been GoLive. All I can find online is flowchart creators, which I don’t want.

Is there anything that you use and would recommend?

If you try a Google search for “website tree map generator” you should find options. I’ve never used any of them myself, so I cannot make any recommendations.

I recently used Apple’s FreeForm app for working with a client. I shared it with them, since they are Mac users also, and it was great for Co-lab.

There are many great solutions for this such as

and Figma, etc can all do these. We used Miro on the UX course I completed last year for our final assignments.

Hi,

Thanks,

I did do this, and found Octopus.do which was a start. I wondered if there were any other options out there.

Hi, these look like drawing solutions, rather than ones that create a visual map from a website?

Oh, you want to generate from an existing site. Gotcha.

Yes, I realise my first post should have said ‘recreate’ instead of ‘create’.

I want to be albe to sit with the site owner and cull some pages, as well as reorganise.

Scrutiny for Mac from Peacock Software will autogenerate a visual sitemap. The prior link is a bit small so I found another as well.

@PatrickSalo I was going to suggest Scrutiny myself, but when I checked I couldn’t find it anymore and wondered if the feature had been removed. I’m on version 12.8.9.

Oh bummer! My trial has ended and I haven’t picked up a license yet so I can’t confirm.

I need to update, I am still on Scrutiny 12.8.6

But site maps are there in this version.

EDIT: Just updated to 12.8.9 and Sitemaps is still a feature.

Ah right, now I see it, clicking on the visualisation tab. I guess that’s why you earn the big bucks.
