I know Tab Anything Pro developer @Whittfield went away but I still have one website depending a lot on this bric. Since it wasn’t updated and Blocs went 6, the index which we could have displayed showing the number of the Tab Anything instance is showing on the published site! See screenshot.
It’s very small on the top right but I can’t mask it. Although the show group index in TAP is unchecked. As it it the only website I made using this bric and the only one showing this, I assume it is a bug in the bric.
I don’t know much about Javascipt so if someone has an idea how to remove it, I’ll appreciate.
I have experienced that some times. I remember removing the bric and placing it a new one again and tuning like the previous one. Try Also changing the ID and rewriting again
Tab anything was a great bric - but I would strongly recommend using alternatives from native blocs so not to run into issues again.
@Whittfield was a great developer - but he vanished pretty quick and some brics were left unfinished in my opinion in the current release of blocs at the time.
If you can find an alternative or work around the great, but @Norm has done so many great things in Blocs natively that you should find a new way to do what you did - and supported too.
There is NO NATIVE Bric or tool that matches the versatility of TAP. Yeah, Eldar tried to show us how to use the tabbed content bric to replace it, but that doesn’t work for a couple of reasons, the major reason is that bric does not scale at lower breakpoints. TAP handles this beautifully.
Frankly, my continued use and support of Blocs is predicated on this one Bric. If it stops working, I will move on, or stay where I am. This is not to say that Blocs 6 is not the best version of this application. It is far and away better than B5, light years ahead of B4.
I can find no other tool or bric, in Blocs, that can present the data I want to share that is as versatile as this tool, and I have been here since Blocs 3.
And I thought @Eldar and @PeteSharp offered solutions that worked great?
I used Tab Anything and had some issues and yes removing it and re-applying it did work, but in the end I just decided that Blocs basically can do anything straight from the can….and it did.
If resetting it works - then Bingo! if not - id suggest deleting it and working with the tools we have.
@WeatherguyNH maybe it would be worth seeing if @Norm could adapt the issues you have using blocs and tabs and see if it could be adapted….yes Blocs might not do 100% how Tab Anything Pro works, but it will offer a way.
In my opinion there are no tools like this in blocs because there is a market for developers that offers that. That’s why blocs does not have a proper carousel for hero sections, or a good tabbing system.
The issue with that is having a lot of bad quality third party add-ons and a market with expensive brics and dependency on support and compatibility with new bloc versions.
