Tahoe 26.0?

I installed Tahoe 26.0 on both machines and now I think Blocs doesn’t work well compared to before. For example, it doesn’t scale to the phone screen size in height. Also, the index.page is rendered incorrectly.
Does anyone else have similar experiences?

Could my problems also be due to the fact that the laptop I’m currently using to make the site has an Intel processor?
I’ve also installed Blocs6 on an iMac 24" m4 and there seems to be a difference compared to an Intel laptop.

I’ve personally not tested MacOS Tahoe on an Intel Mac, but it’s kind of the bleeding edge of support from Apple, so I’d imagine you are more likely to encounter OS level problems.

As for Blocs 6 running on Tahoe most of the initial problems came up over the summer and were fixed in 6.2.3. Since then we have had a few bug reports but nothing substantial that a restart of the Mac didn’t fix.

I assume you are using Blocs 6?

in general way of working on Mac workstation, without any criticisms…
I am very careful on the tools I use to make money

Why you didn’t keep the intel with sequoia and the M4 with Tahoe?
it looks fun but never a Mac OS is reliable on their version XX.0

good luck

I didn’t think about it enough to realize that I would leave the old operating system to someone else. I still have a 2012 iMac, I think I’ll put Blocs6 on it and remove it from the laptop. Thanks again for your comments!

Blocs 6 states it requires macOS Big Sur as minimum.

While a iMac 2012 only officially supports up to macOS Catalina. Unless you choose to use third party non-Apple patchers to get to newer macOS versions like Big Sur etc. So you might experience other issues with Blocs 6 under Catalina.

** There are also certain Blocs features that only work under newer macOS or require Apple Silicon. Alternatively, you can always downgrade your laptop back to macOS Sequoia if you are comfortable doing so: Link | Link. Then use Blocs 6 under Sequoia on your laptop **.

Thanks again. I’ll keep the iMac 2012 as a scanner after all. I was able to update my website with this Intel laptop and I can study more blocs again.

I am running Blocs 6.2.3 release in a MacBook Pro 16" with 32GB of memory and an 8GB Graphics Card. I use the New OSX Tahoe. I can tell you, even after clearing the cache and re-starting that Blocs is slow. Not sure why… I hope someone can has more insight.

Hi KBConcepts, It could be the caching system in Tahoe, I had some slowness as well then it seemed to clear up after a while. Open up the Activity Monitor and see if there is any high CPU or Memory usage, watch what Blocs is doing as well, mine is running about 0.9 CPU and 350mb Memory. Usually when these new macOS versions come out I will do a clean OS install and then upgrade to the newest like Tahoe then install all the apps.

I appreciate your response. Do you know of a free tool to take care of this?

Your Welcome.

The caching system runs in the background automatically, I don’t know of a tool that speeds up the process. Also you can try running Disk First Aid in the Disk Utility app that can sometimes fix slow downs.

Please post back if the Disk First Aid did anything to speed up your performance.
