Timed blocks - on and off at certain date/time

I’ve had a look here and in the store, but can’t find a solution.

Is there a bric that you can set to appear at a certain time, and disappear at another time. For example a section advising of Ramadan, that is visible during Ramadan only.

You can use Custom Interactions of Blocs 6 to show or hide any element based on whether it is a day or night. Not sure about an exact time.

Ah, yes I’d forgotten the Interaction Manager.

I’ve had a look and there are date options, for individual dates, not ranges, apart from Months.

I’m not sure if you need to take into consideration your hosting too and where it is located on the time frame.

I should have said date and time, rather than just time, as ‘time’ is too loose a term!

@Norm is this something that could be added to the Interaction manager - a pair of dates+times from and to/

although - just checked 6.1 and it looks like ranges are available for times, but not dates

Yeah no date ranges yet but you can combine if statements.

An example of using date and time.

Hopefully the “yet” means that date ranges may be on their way! :grinning:

My particular example/need is for Ramadan. I have a block on a website and I have to remember to turn it on, then off again. I used to use Concrete CMS and that had this functionality - date limiting a Concrete block.

I’ve checked here and in the store as well, but I haven’t been able to find a solution either. Hopefully someone who has dealt with this before can point us in the right direction.

Yes, this should be possible. I’ve implemented something similar on the Unlock Your Destiny Matrix site using date-based visibility settings. You can set start and end dates, and it shows only during specific periods like Ramadan.
