I’m trying to add a “Cookie Consent” to my home page. I already got a file named “Cookie Consent.bex” file in my download folder, but I’m not able to add this as a bric on the page.
Have you tried adding it to the footer?
No luck, when I want to add a Bric the “Cookie Consent” doesn’t appear in the window with the different kind of Brics.
Open “Cookie Consent.bex” file with Blocs. This is how you install that bric.
I can’t open this file with Blocs, I can only double click the file, after that Blocks starts and I get a message saying “This version of the Cookie Consent Bric (v1.0.4) is the same version as the version currently installed (v1.0.4), would you like to install and replace the currently installed version anyway?”. When I click yes, nothing happens. I’m using the latest version of Blocs6
Add a structure bloc and then click the little plus within a Bric symbol that is positioned within the newly added Bloc, it will be within one of the columns when you select one.
Clicking the Bric + button will open the Bric bar. Then search for cookie in the Bric bar.
Thank you, it works now!
Just keep in mind that - depending on where you’re from - that Cookie bric does not comply with the GDPR because it doesn’t let the visitor choose to accept all, or reject cookies. It just says “hey, we’re using cookies, just so you know.”. Clicking ok or ignoring the popup won’t change anything.
Therefore I’ve created this bric:
