I’ve been supplied with a client video that is 1920x1080, however it has a rather ugly black bar at top and bottom that ruins the overall appearance on the web page, which is light in colour.
I can get rid of those black bars by running it through Handbrake, which seems to crop those out automatically and it looks fine, however the saved file is 1920x1012.
The problem is that I then add it to Blocs with 16:9 proportions and when played it shows a border around the video in the web browser in Chrome and I am wondering if there is a way to avoid that?
Safari has the player controls slightly misplaced like this and Firefox appears to be OK. Perhaps there is some other software that can lose those black bars but still retain the 1080 height.
