Is there a bric or way of creating a forum in blocs, where others can post comments and questions? Like a discussion board etc
Disqus is easy to integrate into Blocs.

Since Discourse is open source you can set it up for free. GitHub - discourse/discourse: A platform for community discussion. Free, open, simple.
And there are tons of others out there to explore.

ok, ive got the ‘zip’ folder, which i think contains the code that i need, but not sure how to get it onto the server?
Like Norm suggested in your same thread a couple of years ago 
it’s better in most cases to run them as a sub site. Something like Disqus would be different. If you’re wanting to setup Discourse you need to check out their documentation and it would be better to get help on their forum.
If you are self hosting the forum you will also need to setup a database on your server.
