“Image Map” was a very useful function to get lots of clickable things happening in a small area. Why is that gone now? Or is it replaced byt anything similar, maybe even more useful?
image Maps still exist.
However, there are no built-in functions for this in Blocs.
Try
and insert the code with the HTML widget, you may have to adjust the path of the image manually.
OK, I mean a built-in function for something like this. No coding etc ![]()
I can understand what you mean, I used Adobe Go-Live in its day and image maps were so easy. One of the best sites I built at the time was for a musician, he wrote and performed some excellent children’s songs about farm animals, his site was a cleverly illustrated map of a farm and clicking on the appropriate animal would play a preview of the song. It wouldn’t be so easy to do that in Blocs, but then I haven’t had the need to do anything like it since!
Hey @Himmelstrutz, I just posted a tutorial on how to create an image map using Custom Interactions. ![]()
Now that’s a blast from the past. Adobe GoLive was a nice program that I used for all my sites. I was upset they discontinued it but eventually this led me to Blocs. Now Blocs is awesome!
Thanks for putting that together! Image maps can be a game changer for UI design, and using Custom Interactions makes it way more flexible. Definitely bookmarking this for future projects
