I'm so hyped

Slightly better! just because I did an PA for a Q&A session with Alan Shearer a few years ago and his passion for Newcastle was so high and i loved it when Keegan was the manager!

No one will see me if it goes ahead but I will wear my Aston Villa shirt ! lol

I´m not hyped anymore. Mojave at least? (I’m on High Sierra)
Bought Blocs half year ago, and read hear about Blocs 4 at that time and now I’m out…

Btw. I know that I can update to latest OS, where can I get Mojave?

Blocs version 4 is MacOS Mojave (10.14) minimum, however it does run on High Sierra (10.13) and we have some testers working and testing Blocs V4 on that version of Mac OS right now.

So why is Blocs V4 not High Sierra Minimum?

Because we can’t guarantee future versions of Blocs V4 will still run on 10.13. Based on our experience with development, changes in MacOS and our own upgrade cycles, we have set our minimum bar to what we expect it to be in 2/3 years from now.

All your updates are done within the App store on your mac.
Back everything up first and do the update. I have never had an issue with an update and always leave an operating system update a few months before i go into it.

You should be able to jump to Catalina if your Mac is up to spec.

Good luck!

If your Mac indeed supports Mojave you can always get the update from here.

Thank you! That App-Store link seemed to work!
Perhaps I will consider to upgrade to Mojave. But to hear that its working on High Sierra is great news!

At least high sierra - Please.
Although understanding your hussle.

But new hardware - specially first gen - would just kill the wallet.

Stay safe and well.

High Sierra will no longer receive security updates from Apple and therefore progressively more risky to use on the internet. It will be the same situation for Mojave next year when Apple replaces Big Sur with the next OS.

Thanks, I am well aware of my risky set up
But need to cope as there are loads of apps I need and probably retiring with me
At my age I am fine with blocs 3 and bootsrap 4
Nevertheless, I still wouldn´t mind challenges, but the current Apple politics made me wait for at least 2nd gen.
Always nice seeing your posts with loads of help to the community.
Stay well and safe :+1:

I had a similar situation with my 2010 Mac Pro that required a graphics card upgrade to install Mojave and effectively bought me another year of life. Depending on your computer you may be able to use the Dosdude patch and potentially even run Big Sur like that. dosdude1's Personal Web Server - Software

It’s not something I’ve ever done myself and there are caveats but there are people out there with really old hardware running Catalina or Big Sur like this. That could see you right with Blocs 4 for quite a while.

More new features in Blocs 4

For those playing “I spy” and looking closely, clues of features are present in the current reveals.

I don’t see anything, but that’s mostly due to the low resolution of the short videos
