Live customer ratings on web page

Hi all, with the caveat that I’m stupid, my client is looking at a one-page site which rates different areas of their business - probably 8-10 different star ratings for trustworthiness, customer service etc. to be updated live (or as live as it can be).
I’ve been looking at phpjabbers, who I’ve never used before and came across the following.
Without being 100% sure of what I’m looking for, would this do the live updating bit, and is it as simple as changing question details and copying to a code bric?

I have used that script here: Zij gingen jou voor. My client was very satisfied. Very easy to use.

No, the instructions are very clear. Create a database on the server, and the rest is piece of cake…
