Are there any option for sorting or filtering or shuffling a masonry gallery into subsets?
example: Gallery – - Stone Forest

Hi:
If you want to separate them, I guess that is what you are asking, I have different galleries set up using the excellent Iconic Gallery blocs from Jannis.

^ this, unless …
Don’t believe there is presently anything in-built within Blocs or offered by a 3rd party to do “on page” end user sorting and filtering of images, etc., like the example demonstrates that you posted.
That site is using Isotope.js which supersedes Masonry.js. It’s possible to implement manually into Blocs as proven in this thread. https://forum.blocsapp.com/t/blocs-export-not-functioning-properly/24667/7
Just follow the setup instructions for Isotope and use the entry points within Blocs:
https://isotope.metafizzy.co/filtering
https://isotope.metafizzy.co/sorting
https://isotope.metafizzy.co/options#hiddenstyle-visiblestyle
https://isotope.metafizzy.co/options#stagger
Otherwise a big opportunity for @Norm #BlocsApp #NoCode #CustomInteractions to allow Sorting and Filtering through Blocs No-Code “Custom Interactions”.
Right now on page content filtering is not supported, but I’m working on a Bric and some improvements to custom interactions to handle this. So potentially two options on the horizon.
Folks with piles of images will rejoice hearing that news and will be happy with a Bloc-ified approach to accomplish it.
Thanks, Rich.
@Eldar The Magnificent pointed-out that your tabbed-content bric is a great work-around for now.
Seemed like a longstanding** desired user feature and marketing opportunity for more app $$$ sales verse bric $ sales. Though looks like maybe you’ve instead decided to charge for it as a premium bric verse enhancing the app. Or maybe you still plan to segment features between this bric and interactions, with the intention of up-selling to the bric for added features.
** 2012 when Isotope.js came about. Or those that cobbled Jquery UI / DataTables with additional custom code in 2008, etc., :—)
I LIKE the looks of that Bric!!!
Get it done and get it out…

I’m in. Whenever you’re ready.
Pls send an alert.
That is awesome!!!
Hi Samsdad,
With Iconic Gallery you can show as many galleries as you like. You can also make a gallery show the pictures in random order.
Rob
Sounds great.
Where can I see that?
For a “live” demo see India: Streets, Trucks, Busses and a Train there are 3 galleries that are shown in random order. These are galleries of more than 300 pictures, so loading is not fast (but my view, more than worth the wait).
The other galleries on the site are all in fixed order. Alle galleries are using Iconic.
Rob
Thanks, Rob. I need a tabbed gallery that will work like this: Gallery – Stone Forest
I understand that santa @norm is developing a bric for this.
Hey Samsdad:
The galleries I created using the Iconic Gallery do look like that…
Take a peek: Gallery - Art

They do, but the shuffle doesn’t animate the same. Feels like changing pages. I can get pretty close with the standard tabbed content bric. Really like your site. What font is that?
Thank you
I designed that site for a friend.
The font is: Poppins-Light.

Hey everyone, just a quick heads up to let you know that we released a custom Bric to allow content filtering.
Another possibility for content filtering an image gallery or any other type of content.
