New Bric: Read More for Blocs

Hi all,

Yeah Blocs has crashed several times soon as I apply it. I have it on now and used 2 classes where I selected underline and then removed it and all good now.

Fingers crossed it works well when live.

Use it for some client testimonials where I can keep them all at 200 characters and then Read More kicks in when some reviews are longer. Great little bric.

Wish I could use it…just not practical for me…

Found another glitch - when I put ’ read more ’ on a new line and say for example I want this to cut on 200 words, if its cuts a word in half…when I click ’ read more ’ the word stays chopped in half.

I can’t replicate that issue either @AdieJAM

Yeah it’s really strange!. I just tried to set Read More again to show it doing it, but constantly crashes and have to force quit Blocs and try again, but just tried a few times and no good.
But managed to get it working in a way that will work for my client.

Hi There –

Seems to be a problem with ‘READ MORE’ with the current version of Blocs…please see my post: 'READ MORE' trouble -- RESOLVED

Thanks!

[REASOLVED…HAD TO UPDATE THE BRIC]

Hi all , I recently purchased a READ MORE bric. I have version 1.4. I have BLOCS APP version 5.1.1. Unfortunately I found that if I check BEHAVIORS - NEW LINE, the CPU gets very busy, the computer immediately starts cooling…If I still manage to uncheck , the block with this brick READ MORE starts as a blink…Everything is slowed down and either the application crashes or I have to restart it. Otherwise, the other READ MORE functionality seems to work properly. Has anyone had a similar experience and can someone please advise me what to do about this? Thank you

Sorry to hijack this post - just a quick question to you @Norm - we all know @Whittfield isn’t active in blocs right now yet his brics are just brilliant……I own nearly all of them.
But we are seeing issues on them within the latest blocs and no support anymore from him due to personal reasons. (Hope he is ok)

So my question is should blocs still be supporting these brics in the store? Or can brics in the store have a Red Cross or icon showing these brics are not supported & buy at risk?

Just don’t think it’s fair on people buying.
Not your fault Norm - but unsure how to go about it….
