I was wondering if anyone is still using the read more bric with Blocs 5 - without problems?
Also - is anyone using this with Volt CMS ?

I just implement read more right now on one of my personal website
but not sure if I will use it
I bought a lot of add ons from different sellers
i am very very happy of all of them
BUT definitely not about the services from Whitfield I cannot use any of them well
I LOST A LOT OF MONEY by buying from him

@SENEK Have you ever thought that Whittfield might be ill (for example BURN OUT or another serious illness)?

i dont speak about NOW at all
but around 2 years ago
when I asked him about help he was on the forum and stayed long time to answer to others
so about the time I speak
he was online and at this time he posted videos on his YouTube channel
many of us requested long time ago to have better manual on how to use his paid products (look his YouTube channel and different videos:
he always say YES? and never gave us them
ALL his paid products are right not online anymore (only free ones)
so you cannot see that many of us asked for better manualsâŠ
also, if he was not in good health, I guess administrators or moderators from the forum will let us know about itâŠ

They all still appear to be available through his site, though he may not offer support for them any longer? He has not been active on the forum really since early 2023.

please keep in mind that I am very Happy of many others sellers, I bought from⊠Eldar, PeteSharp, ArchetyponâŠ
I never ever had to complain from their products and much more of their services, they are always here for help and this is why I am a happy user of BLOCS
but when you buy, you expect to have a service when the person is still online and promise manuals or else to understand better his products
I donât ask crazy things just the minimum to understand the products I bought from him
and again: I am not the unique one who complain
nevermind I donât want to be considered as a âhaterâ I just give my opinion about a sellerâŠ

Well, you can complain until youâre blue in the face, but unless someone has direct firsthand knowledge regarding @Whittfield or he responds himself, then no one really knows.
Meaning all speculation and complaints are completely pointless and arriving at nowhere. But maybe it makes you fell better too vent, it yeilds nothing however. 
Just try and see if you experience any issues. If not, then if it works â it works.
I can only speak for myself, but Iâve heard nothing about any health issues regarding Whittfield either directly or through others. A quick Google search suggests he may be working for a company called Casetext.

I didnât create a topic to shout about @Whittfield
@BAM created a topic about using the bric âread moreâ from Whittfield without problems
I answered that I have tons of problems with this bric and by extension with ALL the products I bought from him
and when he was online years ago he never took time to do what he promised
if he didnât years ago, do you think he will solve everything right now without to be online for months?
maybe he made a burnout, maybe he is ill, right now if so I am sorry for that,
but it doesnât change that years ago he was ok as he was online here answering to many future buyersâŠ
now maybe it is fun for you to put money in blocs or brics that doesnât work
as you recommend to BAM:

but in my point of view I donât recommend right now to buy anything from this seller
this is how a forum works too: pointing bad seller, to be sure that good ones will not suffer of the reputation of the bad one

No. I assumed @BAM already had each and wanted to know how it worked with Blocs 5 and Volt. In which case they could indeed do some tests and see if it works for their needs. If I am mistaken in this assumption, I was never indicating to buy either to test. :â)

Readmore is working for me (v1.4) without problems on one of my projects (Blocs 5.2.5). This project is not using Volt.

Read More Bric most probably will not work together with Volt CMS, as Volt CMS injects the html content in that case with JavaScript into the bric. But I didnât test by myself.
This is neither a flaw of the Read More Bric, nor Volt CMS.
Advice: look at the Volt CMS Blog, which has sort of the same functionality.

It seems I let a monster out of a cage. Sorry about that. Was just curious. I did find a solution. Not the best one. My customer would have to edit the text file herself. She is willing and able. But in the end âread moreâ is not a search engine friendly approach. Firefox gives me warnings about this. Anyway this is a shoutout to @Jannis and Volt CMS. He always answers and Volt CMS is really awesome. Nice weekend to everyone.

I mean I am also member of blocsmaster and in term of Q&A ready to use: some are awesome
and as he knows well about Volt CMS (made video on it) he can help
you should think about this opportunity if you didnât find a solution so far

The system @Norm has in place now in the Blocs store is great and to secure your websites its best to buy from brics that are current right now as the developers now are supporting their brics, or if you need something simple, maybe look at ways of using code for basic things or code free alternatives.
But also ask @Norm if its a feature which could actually be brought into Blocs.
I do not think @SENEK was knocking Whitfield at all, he was just pointing out that support during the sale period and after was not there.
I know a few people bought into Reflow and never got any help or support which was a shame as this was a long bric for him to develop and was not cheap!
But his work in Blocs was brilliant and his vision on blocs we loved was great too.
I could never ever get Cadence or Modal Designer to ever work!!! and never got the support I needed and I did ask and I know @WeatherguyNH asked several times too.
He did make an appearance on the forum again and was nice to see him back and I sent him an issue I had as he asked me toâŠbut he vanished again!!!
I am sure we all wish him well and would love to see him back!

I solved this problem with @Jannis and Volt CMS. A big reach out to Jannis.
I did not buy the read more bric because at some point it will not work anymore. The extra headaches are not worth it.
