Are you sure you don’t have drop mode activated?
@Norm, well, if I do, it would be unintentional as I never use that keyboard command. I will try entering that command next time though to see if it releases it (which it should if it’s in the mode right?) I’ll let you know what I find out. In the meantime, just be aware that Blocs is apparently entering into the drop mode by itself. I’ve seen others have experienced this same odd behavior. If that Control + D command releases it, that would be a nice temporary fix, but if it’s entering that mode by itself, that needs to be fixed at some point.
Drop mode is also activated when you click the Bric (+) symbol in the right sidebar.
I’ll keep an eye on it.
@Norm, I’ve never used that either. I always use the “+” sign (that shows up above and below an element in the main window) for adding/selecting brics. It’s a bug for sure. You’ll find it eventually. I’ll try that ‘Control + D’ command though in the meantime to release it. Thanks
I am also having issues with using the shift key to toggle showing the handles for setting vertical margins. When I first open a project, the handles work for awhile. Then at some point in time they just quit working. No matter how often I hold down the shift key an click on a bric, I can’t get the handles to appear.
If I close Blocs and restart the app, the handles appear as expected. So I find myself saving, closing blocs and restarting …
Another thing I just noticed: it seems that if I go to another app that’s running on my Mac, and then go back to Blocs, the handles work as expected. It almost seems like this has something to do with focus?
This has been going on for some time now.
It is. If the apps handles do not show simply move the cursor outside of the main Blocs application frame and then back in again. It will reset the focus.
Because Im unable to replicate the issue consistently, I added this fallback to prevent the need for a restart.

I am still experiencing this problem. I hope it gets fixed in the next update.It’s a real pain to have to always click outside of Blocs to get the margin handles to reappear. In my opinion this is a bug.
