Any idea how to style the Recent Post links? They come up grey as standard, and when you hover they come up as black, just want to change it to all black if possible.

Thanks!

EDIT: Found the class, for me it was “volt-recent-posts-item-title-link”

EDIT 2: Apologies @Jannis, 2 hopefully quick questions:

  1. When I add a recent post, and set the layout to 1 column, with image, description and link ticked, how do I add a margin to spread the posts out a little as the text and images have no seperation between them?

  2. Any idea how to put the title and description above the header image for the recent posts? I have used additional CSS to hide the header image in detail and list view.

The ideal structure would be – Title > Description > Image and then some padding/margin to the next post.

Thank you :slightly_smiling_face:

Between the different recent posts itself, or between title and description?

Unfortunately that’s fixed currently.

Hack: you could try to add an <img> tag inside the description at the end.

Small bugfix update of Volt CMS Core 1.9.1 for

  • multiple recent posts on one page
  • removal of PHP 8.1 deprecation warnings
  • better error handling of non existing post URLs (in addition, send 404 error code).

Hi @Jannis - did you manage to fix the bug on the line on the arrows on the carousel in volt on the update?

cheers

Thanks for the reminder :grimacing:

haha !..No problem !!! :joy:

There has been talk also on a Volt 2? is this coming soon or being worked on?..I am wondering if it’s soon if it’s worth holding on applying Volt 1 to a new project.

No, definitely not.

He jannis, I am very happy with the latest Volt core update from yesterday. Now I can make two recent posts on one page, and both of them are different. That’s great! SUPER support!

Hi @Jannis

Hope you are well.

Just seeing if you managed to do the above change, as planning on a two projects using volt and this is part of my plans!

Also looking at using some new things and is there any possibility with the Blog in VOLT that when I add a blog it adds into the new Horizontal Scroll in Blocs.

My idea is to have 2 or 3 categories - on a line and users can scroll - as per basic sketch below

As my demo does not contain this styling issue (not a bug…) please send me a page where it occurs.

Not right now.

Hi @Jannis , thanks for your reply.

I will have to re-create it as I thought we determined it was a bug & I scrapped the idea of using volt on that project as my client requested another way.

I’ll send it over sometime next week as something I’d like to use.

Would you have plans to bring volt into Horizontal Scrolling?

Cheers

I could put several “recent post” brics into a horizontal scroll container. This makes more sense than putting a full blog into a scroll container.

Thanks @Jerry

I will have a play around - just thinking ideas at the moment and that could be an option for what I am looking at.

If you have issues previewing Volt CMS inside Blocs 5.2.2 beta 2:

  • Please update Volt Core Bric to 1.9.2 via Extension Manager
  • Let Blocs update the core bric inside the project
  • Export project and upload to the server

7 minor updates to go and we will see Volt 2.0. I can’t wait for all the options and tickboxes which I hope will be added

:upside_down_face:

It will even be better

That’s when you find out Jannis plans to go to 1.20.4

:joy:
